Dr Shane Moran is the owner of Beresford Hall. Having been Chief Executive Officer of the family-owned Moran Health Care Group for some 15 years, Dr Moran in 2001 established his own health and aged care organisation, Provectus Care Pty Ltd, to realise his vision for the creation of boutique aged care services and, in particular, a flagship facility in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

Dr Moran is currently involved in creating some of Australia’s most innovative residential aged care facilities across a number of sites on the east coast of Australia. Beresford Hall is the product of Dr Moran’s vision for a luxury residential aged care facility and day spa in Rose Bay. By combining superior care and services with the highest standard of accommodation, Dr Moran has embraced a future for residential aged care that significantly departs from the aged care of the past.

Dr Moran has over 25 years’ experience in the Australian and international health, aged care and retirement industries with extensive involvement in the development, design and operation of a wide range of facilities including residential aged care facilities, acute care and medical private hospitals and retirement villages. Dr Moran has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health, degrees in Commerce, Law (LLB and LLM), and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. His doctoral thesis was based on aged care in China. He has also had numerous articles published, including in journals in the health and aged care sector.

As head of the family-owned Moran Health Care Group for some 15 years until 2001, Dr Moran steered that company to become Australia’s largest private residential aged care provider (with it also having had operations in the United Kingdom and Asia), until its sale to several large institutional investors (including Macquarie Bank and AMP).
